The third Forum of Mayors is being held in Geneva, Switzerland. This year’s theme, ‘Urban Regeneration Towards 2030,’ has city leaders discussing projects that aim for inclusive, resilient, and sustainable urban development.

Lord Norman Foster, President of the Norman Foster Foundation and UN Forum of Mayors Advocate, joined today’s event. In his own words: ‘The compact city is the future. Compact cities are more sustainable, greener areas absorb more carbon dioxide, and sustainable buildings are those using recycled materials. If you look at public surveys, these cities are more attractive for tourists and they are the cities in which people want to live’.
