It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Ronald H. Rappaport, Secretary of the American Friends of the Norman Foster Foundation. Mr. Rappaport was a distinguished attorney and a pillar of the Martha’s Vineyard community.

He earned his B.A. from Stanford University in 1971 and his J.D. from Boston College Law School in 1975. A founding managing director of Reynolds, Rappaport, Kaplan & Hackney, LLC, Mr. Rappaport had nearly fifty years of experience in municipal law, civil litigation, and real estate law.

His contributions extended beyond his legal practice; he was deeply involved in civic organizations, including the governing board of the Steamship Authority, the Board of the Martha’s Vineyard Bank, and the Board of Trustees of MVYouth.

His passing is a profound loss to the community and all who knew him. Our thoughts are with his family.
