In this interview, Carlos Rubio talks about Norman Foster’s legacy, defining him as ‘the first global architect’. The Spanish architect also explains his collaboration with Foster for the Museo del Prado Extension in Madrid, and how it gives response not only to the Museum, but also to its architecture and the citizens.

Carlos Rubio is an architect based in Madrid with more than 30 years of experience. In its origins he was partner with prestigious architects like Ignacio Vicens or César Ruiz-Larrea, and ended up founding his own company ‘R&AS’ with Enrique Álvarez-Sala. After many successful projects, in 2014, he decided to set up ‘Rubio Arquitectura’.
